July 2021 Tarotscopes
Do you feel that? It’s the subtle murmur of souls awakening from deep slumber. As we all find our way to this path of enlightenment and love it’s important to recognize that not everyone is at the same place in their journey.
While many speak of hot girl summer, I think it’s hot to let compassion rule the way. The events of the past year carried deeply rooted Tower energy and have shaken our societal rules down to the studs. As we all learn how to reclaim our identity in this ever changing world, it’s more important than ever to give each other a ton of space to be human.
It’s been my experience that in order to offer someone else the forgiveness and space they deserve I first have to start with myself. Gentleness, like a soft summer breeze, is the way of July. Let it wash over you.
Much love to you,

Cancer (Jun 22-July 23) – The Star
What a thoughtful birthday gift, sweet Cancer. The Universe has granted you divine clarity and inspiration. You have stripped yourself naked of your unhelpful ego and you’re letting your Highest Self lead the way. It’s awe inspiring to watch the miracles unfold. Sure, there will be times when you will be tested. However, when someone challenges your authority or tells you that “you don’t know anything,” you’ll almost have an out of body experience. Instead of a snarky retort you’ll simply smile and say “that’s all I do know.” How magical and poetic life becomes when we stop listening to the primal and fear-based urges of the self and instead follow the divine guidance of the Self instead.
Leo (Jul 24 – Aug 23) – The Fool
Giving yourself to the great unknown is the ultimate act of surrender. The Buddists say we create our own suffering with attachment. The Fool is attached to nothing and no one. This peaceful and optimistic wonder is powerful energy. The next round of your journey has yet to begin and you’re waiting with bated breath. Tap into that joyful anticipation and don’t let your excitement turn into anxiety. Greet your next chapter with a positive mental script. It’s time to pick up the good story and then manifest it into existence. What boundaries could you set with your brain? I like to use what I call a ‘God Box.’ When something or someone is causing me stress, I write my hopes and wishes to the Universe and put it in the box. This is a tangible way to learn to let go and to trust. Any time you find yourself sneaking back into worry, remember that you already gave it over and let me tell you, the Universe hates to be micromanaged.
Virgo (Aug 24-Sep 22) – The Tower
I recently found a tarot deck creator who referred to this card as catastrophic glory. How eloquent and how true! The tower is our symbol of destruction, but it’s always obliteration with an important purpose. This is your time of deep internal rebirth. Your house of cards is blowing away in the wind and you feel as though your identity hangs in the balance. While your external trappings may shift and change, they never were the way to define your soul in the first place. You are a starseed, a lightworker and an angel among us, sent here to do important things. The Tower has come to crumble your shoddy structure so you can start again on your true path. You have a choice. You can either greet these changes with a pessimistic viewpoint or an open heart. Your vibration is quite powerful and your reality will shift and mold itself to the energy you put forth.
Libra (Sep 23-Oct 22) – Judgement
The golden rule #62 – Don’t take yourself too seriously. This is the advice from The Judgement card. It asks to allow us to hold onto our identity like a loose fitting garment. The more we cling tightly to the ways in which we define ourselves, the uglier it can get. Constructive criticism is an opportunity to grow and investigate how we show up in the world. Do you bristle when someone offers a gentle critique or a kind word of advice? Are you creating too rigid a structure from which you and others must operate? We use control as a means to feel safe. How can you tap into the security that resides deep within the collective unconscious? Hint: it won’t be mastered externally. And it definitely won’t be found by judging yourself or others.
Scorpio (Oct 23-Nov 22) – Wheel of Fortune
The Wheel of Fortune and the Tower have the same objective: transformation. However, The Wheel offers us a kinder, gentler way to breakthroughs and perspectives shifts. The only constant in this world is change. This card indicates a momentary pause before we keep moving forward with the flow of continuous transition. It asks us to examine our fortune. While some might think of this card as an indication of good luck, other readers have a completely opposite view. It’s all about perspective. I like to pretend that I’m simply a playing piece in the enormous board game of life and right now it’s my move. Which way will you turn? Will you roll the dice? Take the risk? Skip your turn for more introspection? Time offers you its mysterious elasticity to plan your next move strategically.
Sagittarius (Nov 23-Dec 20) – The Chariot
Adventure is calling and you must go. Whenever I pull this card I immediately think of the wild horses who roam the sandy beaches of Corolla, North Carolina. There are very few places in our country where the horses still roam free. The Chariot is all about harnessing this powerful energy and landing it in reality. How can you move forward unbridled by societal constraints but still on a path that really goes somewhere? Where will you be able to let your talents shine bright without feeling boxed in or suffocated? How can you temper your avoidance to authority in a pursuit of a much greater purpose? I think your sign struggles the most with this thing we call ‘adulting’ as your fiery temperament is concerned with much larger questions. Serenity often is derived from balance, restraint and humility. How can you quell the demands of your egoic self to let your Highest Purpose lead the way?
Capricorn (Dec 22 – Jan 20) – The Hanged Man
Twice in a row! Wow Capricorn. The Guides really want you to slow down and let this metaphysical lesson sink in. You seem to think things are running on your timeline. Nothing could be further from the truth! It’s all in divine timing and your Guides will always throw in comedic relief when you are being especially impatient. Your job this month? Let go. Easier said than done, but it’s absolutely necessary. What could you do to deepen your trust in Source and get out of your own way? What if your problems were just practical jokes? What if you could laugh at the circumstances instead of head butting each once with intolerance and impatience? What does it mean to ‘stay in the day’? Have you paused lately to drop in and look around? Look at the love that surrounds you. Look at the wealth of friends, the connections you’ve made, the joy you’ve brought to this planet. When the Hanged Man appears there is no going forward. There is only the here and now. You might as well revel in its magnificence.
Aquarius (Jan 21-Feb 19) – Justice
Recently my favorite tarot deck creator (Kim Krans of The Wild Unknown) updated her Justice card to include all the colors of the rainbow, as well as the beautifully inclusive stripes of blue, pink, and blue. We’ve come a long way collectively but there is so much more to do when it comes to allyship. What could you do this month to help someone who doesn’t experience the same privilege that you do? Sometimes there isn’t much action involved in this at all except for some active listening. Are you willing to ask tough questions? Are you ready to hear the raw and honest truth? Or perhaps are you the one who deserves justice? What could you do to soften your approach to those who wish to help? Unfortunately many who are marginalized are angry (as they have the right to be) however, it almost creates further dissonance. Allies are often scared to put their foot in their mouth…so they say nothing. How can you catch someone when they stumble over their words when you see their heart is in the right place? You are the tarot’s true humanitarian Aquarius and I see you creating so much harmony and love in the days to come.
Pisces (Feb 20-Mar 20) – The High Priestess
The Universe called and it wants to talk to you. It has many mysteries and secrets to whisper in your ear. When the High Priestess card appears it’s a reminder of your deep inner knowing. You are intrinsically connected to Source and the collective unconscious, just as we all are. This gorgeous goddess asks you to tap back into that super power so you can start talking directly to your Guides. When was the last time you meditated? Read a book? Prayed? Or just even turned off your phone? We seem to constantly want to fill the void with noise. Think about ‘unconformable silences’. Why must they be deemed uncomfortable? In those quiet moments that is where the Universe reveals itself to us. I highly recommend that you make space this month to explore the noiseless, the darkness, the luminous void. What lurks there? Have you been running from your own shadow? Or is the Light just so magnanimous that it frightens you with its glory?
Aries (Mar 21-Apr 19) – The Sun
Is there anything more powerful than the Sun? It’s surface bubbles and glows so brightly that it powers an entire planet. It’s time to tap into that magnificent energy to bring your dreams into the here and now. You are a leader Aries that many admire. Use this influence wisely. Your ability to inspire others is quite profound and you never know who might be watching. While you feel like you’re on top of the world don’t forget to bring others up to soak in the light as well. While it might be tempting to enjoy the fruits of your labor solo that is simply your human forgetfulness. Tap back into your divine wisdom of oneness and recognize that we are simply mirrors. The best success is enjoyed by many.
Taurus (Apr 20-May 20) – Death
Often the Death card is the card of transformation, but sometimes it can allude to physical death as well. None of us are strangers to loss. We all must say goodbye at some point and that painful departure leaves a massive hole in our heart. While it’s essential to grieve and allow ourselves to feel our feelings, it’s also worth investigating our society’s relationship with death. Why does it need to be so harrowing? Why is it so scary? Does it need to be associated with permanence? Much like this card transforms our spiritual structure, the death of someone we love will never leave us the same. Could it be possible to bring joy and curiosity to this massive transition? I’ve always been fascinated by Día de Muertos, The Day of the Dead, celebrated in many parts of Mexico. Although a time of mourning it’s also a time of massive celebration. There are bright colors, flowers, gifts, sweets and dancing. This month I encourage you to investigate your relationship with death. Is the grief starting to swallow you whole or are you moving into a place where reverence takes the lead? May you be filled with an inner knowing that one day you two will be connected once again.
Gemini (May 21-Jun 21) – Strength
Gemini if I was the ruler of the Zodiac I’d probably worry about you the least. Not because I love you any less, but because of your innate ability for self-appraisal. You see yourself clearly. You are always on a quest for self-improvement for yourself and the world around you. I applaud your ability to move through difficult things with ease and grace. My only concern? Your independence can edge on the side of isolation. You’re fierce in your determination and strength, but just because you refuse to be coddled does not mean that your soul needs no nurturing. I invite you home to the bosom of Mother Earth where you can come for a quiet respite and recharge. When was the last time you gave yourself a compliment? Treated yourself to a day off? This month take time to honor your strong spirit with what it needs most: self-care.
